Tennille Love is the Academic Coach of the Sinclair Fast Forward Re-engagement Center of Dayton, Ohio. The nationally recognized center is a resource center that serves students ages 16-21 who are currently out of school, not attending regularly or are credit deficient and at-risk of dropping out. As Academic Coach she provides holistic coaching/advising and recommends interventions to assist “opportunity youth” toward the completion of their education/career and personal goals. She also consults with school districts and Fast Forward partner schools/programs and other community organizations to ensure accurate information is communicated to clients in efforts to facilitate school re-engagement. In addition to coaching, she serves as a member of the Career Technology Education Advisory Committee for Gem City Career Tech High where she brings over 10 years of professional experience as both an educator and a workforce development professional to create various credentialed career pathways for students as a means of meeting the Ohio high school graduation requirements.
Tennille graduated from Dayton Christian High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Spelman College of Atlanta, Georgia, a Master’s of Business Administration in Operations Management from American Intercontinental University and she is currently studying to obtain her PhD in Higher Education Administration: Educational Leadership from Liberty University. She is an active member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, the Dayton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College. As a parent, mentor and tutor she is a consummate advocate for youth, striving to ensure that they have the necessary information, tools and support required to overcome their academic and social-emotional barriers, resulting in high school completion and a successful transition to postsecondary education, the workforce or the military.
