Shaun Freeman, Sr. is a Stay-In-School Coordinator in the Student Engagement and School Completion Department of the Fort Worth Independent School District. He works in a diverse environment, where he is responsible for providing truancy interventions and enforcing the compulsory school attendance laws for nine campuses across the district ranging from PreK – 12th grade. Prior to his role as a Coordinator, Mr. Freeman was a College and Career Readiness Coach for the district where he assisted students in achieving their postsecondary education goals. He holds a bachelor’s in Sociology from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA, and a master’s in Psychology, Child and Adolescent Development, from Capella University. He is currently enrolled in and pursuing his doctorate in School Psychology from Capella University. Mr. Freeman also holds certifications in Basic Mediation and in Advanced Family Mediation from the University of Texas at Arlington.
