Patty Blake graduated from Marshall University with an MA in Counseling and both an Ed.S. and an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction. Over the past two decades, she has worked as a teacher and a counselor. Her current position as a Regional School Support Specialist with RESA 3 in Dunbar, West Virginia allows her to focus on the Graduation 2020 initiative in schools in her district. Dr. Blake supports schools in planning, implementing, and monitoring strategies aimed at improving graduation rates as well as decreasing dropout rates. In addition, she also serves at the Positive Behavioral and Interventions Strategies (PBIS) Coach at the alternative center. Dr. Blake is a life-long learner who holds a number of certifications and endorsements. As a strong student advocate, she has dedicated her career to making a positive difference in the lives of the students she serves.
