Olga Perez graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Bayamón Campus with a BA in Secretarial Sciences. Over the past two decades, she has worked as a Documentation Coordinator, Administrative Assistant and Executive Assistant. Her current position as the Administrative Assistant of the Department of Student Affairs of Shelby County Schools in Memphis, TN allows her to support the initiatives of Dropout Prevention, Restorative Justice, Student Voice and Destination 2025 efforts in schools in her district. Mrs. Perez supports the department in their efforts to provide opportunities for students to engage in different programs/activities that encourage them to stay in school, increase their chances of obtaining a good ACT score, participate in the internships and mentoring programs to improve graduation rates as well as decreasing dropout rates. Mrs. Perez also serves as the bilingual front desk receptionist that assists Spanish speaking parents and community. Committed to help and encourage the students to do their best in school and life, she has dedicated her career to making a positive difference in the lives of the students she serves.
