Lisa Heinbaugh attended Alderson Broaddus College where she completed her bachelor’s degree in elementary education with specializations in specific learning disabilities and social studies, and she obtained her master’s degree in educational leadership from West Virginia University. With 30 years in education, Lisa has worked as a teacher of special education and regular education; a career-technical director; an elementary, middle, and high school principal; and central office.
Lisa is currently a Regional School Support Specialist and Graduation Coach at RESA 7 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, as part of the West Virginia Department of Education’s Graduation 20/20 Initiative. In this role, she supports local school districts to improve their graduation rate while also trying to close the gap between regular and special education.
