Lisa Brenner currently serves as the Student Services Officer for Indianapolis Public Schools. She began her career as a school social worker and dropout prevention specialist. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, and earned her master’s degree in Social Work from East Carolina University. Lisa has served on university, agency and educational associations and boards. Throughout her career she has also presented at various national and state conferences. With over twenty years of public education experience, Lisa has dedicated her work to ensuring that students receive inspiration, guidance, and equitable resources designed to provide access and opportunity. During her three and a half year tenure with Indianapolis Public Schools, Lisa has used her passion intentionally to provide guidance and training, improve processes, and inspire staff to implement strategic and comprehensive K-12 graduation services which have increased the IPS graduation rate by 10%.
