Laura Trusty

Laura Trusty currently is the only Success Coach in Mesa County Valley School District 51 and works at Grand River Academy, the D51 online school. She is a licensed Secondary English Teacher and works specifically with at-risk groups including teens and veterans and has done so for a total of 10 years. She has worked in several grant funded or temporary positions including Grand Mesa Youth Service Center (state of Colorado maximum security facility for youth) and Veterans’ Upward Bound (Metropolitan State University). She specializes and enjoys helping traumatized youth and adults in a school setting.
