LaKeisha Fersner Lawrence is a native of Orangeburg, South Carolina. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1994 and obtained a Master of Education degree in Counselor Education from South Carolina State University.
LaKeisha served as an English language arts teacher for 10 years and a professional middle school guidance counselor for 7 years at William J. Clark Middle School in Orangeburg Consolidated School District Five in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She presently serves as the OCSD5 Dropout Prevention Coordinator, where it is her mission to help dropout students obtain their high school diplomas and prevent at-risk students from dropping out of school.
