Jennifer Alonso currently serves as the Graduation Services Coordinator for Indianapolis Public Schools. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and has over 10 years of experience in public education in a variety of roles. In her current role she supports the district’s K-12 graduation coaches and data management of the graduation cohort and attendance initiative.

Jennifer’s passion for serving high-risk students stems from her life experiences of growing up in high crime neighborhoods and graduating from Odyssey High School, an alternative school located in Southgate, California. Jennifer’s parents emigrated from Mexico so she knows first-hand the challenges that our Spanish speaking students and families face in school. Jennifer became the first in her family to graduate from high school and then college and is deeply committed to ensuring that ALL students in Indianapolis Public Schools graduate from high school with post-secondary opportunities for success.
