James Steven Hudson is the Student Engagement Specialist for Invictus High School’s East Campus in Cleveland, Ohio. He is the CEO and founder of a non-profit program, The Hudson Foundation is M.A.D. (Making A Difference), which encourages higher education, vigorous community communication, and promotes vocational opportunities. James has been working in education for more than 17 years with a concentration in Special Education. His mission is to help students achieve the same level of success or better than he has. James is passionate about empowering students to achieve what sometimes feels unattainable to them. James is a proud graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in Cleveland, Ohio. He received his Undergraduate Degree in Communications with a minor in Public Relations from West Virginia State University. James also attended Marshall University and Cleveland State University in pursuit of a Master’s Degree in Education Leadership. He serves as the Head Usher for Real Gospel Missionary Baptist Church in Twinsburg, Ohio. James belongs to the York Rite of Freemasonry and the Senegal Shrine Temple of West Virginia. He coaches football and baseball with a recent 2019 L.E.L. Championship for the Heskett Middle School Bearcats football team. James’ personal time is spent with his wife and best friend of 16 years, Laticia, and his children. He also enjoys bowling, softball, and mingling with family and friends.
