Merrianne Dyer is a consultant with the Scholastic, Inc. division of Family-Engagement and Learning Supports. She works with school districts and community agencies across the nation to develop family-school-community relationships to address barriers to learning and support high school completion. Dr. Dyer previously served for 36 years as a teacher, principal, and retired as Superintendent of Gainesville (GA) City Schools in 2014. Dr. Dyer holds a Ed.S. degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia and a Ph. D. in Education Policy from Georgia State University.
