Calvin Burrows currently serves as a Truancy Attendance Teacher for Shelby County Schools in Memphis, Tennessee. Calvin earned his BS in Education from Lemoyne-Owen College and his MS in Administration and Supervision from Memphis State University. His career spans over 43 years in the field of education by serving students in special education and those that are at-risk. Calvin is responsible for enforcing the compulsory attendance law by meeting with parents and students. He provides interventions and referrals to outside social services when needed to help families overcome obstacles to attending school.
