Ahmed Hussein earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Capella University in May 2009. He is a first-generation college graduate. He came to the United State as a refugee and worked with multi-cultural families for the last 15 years. Ahmed speaks four languages: Somalia, Kiswahili, Mai-Mai and Basic Arabic Language. After completing his college degree, Ahmed worked as a Refugee Case Manager with Jewish Vocational Service for 2 years. Currently Ahmed works as a Dropout and Recovery Specialist with the Kansas City Missouri Public School District where he has been employed for 11 years. His focuses are on working with K-12 student that are at risk of being a dropout.
