Rick Given has been a teacher with Greenville County Schools for 29 years. He is a graduate of Seminole State College of Florida, the University of South Carolina Upstate and has a graduate degree from Converse College. He has served as a special education teacher at all three levels (high school, middle school, and elementary school) as well as an alternative school, a separate school for students with severe emotional disabilities and the Department of Juvenile Justice.
