For the last eight years, Ray has been the Vice-President of Administration and Professional Development. In this role, Ray supervises and trains the school leaders and provides professional development to 5 dropout prevention schools. All 5 schools are Title I. Before Ray’s education career, he served in elected office for 16 years, at both the local and state levels. In 2008, Ray was elected Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives by his peers.
Ray and his wife Tricia have been married for 36 years. Tricia is a middle school math teacher. Ray and Tricia have three grown married daughters and two grandchildren.
