Mr. Sivesind is originally from Topeka, Kansas where he attended high school and college, receiving his BA in History from Washburn University in 1988. After working in Kansas City for two years, Mr. Sivesind returned to Washburn and earned his teaching certificate in the area of Social Studies. His first teaching position was in Harlingen, Texas where he helped start up an alternative high school. After four years there, Mr. Sivesind returned to the Kansas City area and taught in an alternative high school in Leavenworth, Kansas (no, not the prison)! He then worked in the cubicle world for nearly five years (loan servicing) but was finally able to get back to teaching and for thirteen years worked in Carrollton, Missouri in various positions, mostly credit recovery. Mr. Sivesind moved to the Sunshine State two years ago and was lucky enough to find a position at Enterprise High School. He has always known his calling was for alternative education and he is thankful for Enterprise High School and what it has, and will continue to do, for students… help them achieve their goal of graduating high school.
