Dr. Debra Delaine’s 28 years in education began as an elementary school counselor and focused on student advocacy; assisting students with developing social and emotional competencies as well as understanding their own self-worth.   As a school psychologist, Debra provided academic and behavioral supports for students as well as interventions in collaborative multi-tiered intervention meetings.  Conducting psychological and academic assessments for students allowed Debra to assist school teams with individualizing instruction and resulted in the academic achievement for some students.

Debra’s fourteen years as a district leader in education allowed her the opportunity to provide professional development to both leaders, teachers, and staff on the importance of connectivity, tolerance and leading with a growth mind set.  Debra has served as the Director of the Exceptional Student Education Department and the Director of Student Services.  Debra is currently the Director of Adult Education; she would like this new role to inspire adults of all ages to obtain their high school equivalency diploma, which as a result will empower families.
