Rosa Linda Aviles has worked for the Kansas City Public School District for over 20 years. She has an Early Childhood background as well as a legal background and has worked with children from Pre-Natal-5 years through the K.U. Medical Center, Project Eagle, as well as PRE-K through 12th grade.
Rosa Linda has always enjoyed working with youth and her experiences in Early Childhood education has helped her understand and work with high school students today. Rosa Linda feels the challenges start with some students not seeing the path to graduation. She says, “If I can assist that student in clearing some of those barriers and seeing a path towards graduation, then I feel I have accomplished something.”
It may take years before you can see the result, or to hear a student say, “If it was not for you pushing me…. I would not have made it.”
