Melisa is the Director of Social Emotional Learning and Student Agency for Westminster Public Schools in Colorado. Before becoming a district administrator, Melisa worked in the WPS competency-based education system as a school building administrator, a mental health interventionist, special education team leader, and day treatment program coordinator. In addition to Educational Leadership, Melisa has a background in Counseling Psychology. She is a National Certified Teacher with an emphasis in counseling through the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards. Melisa has also worked as a private practitioner as a licensed professional counselor.
