Sara Lynne Quay has been serving children, adults, and families in the field of mental health for more than 20 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral & Social Sciences from Mount Aloysius College. She also received her Master of Education degree in Community Health Education from Penn State University. Sara is a Licensed Behavior Specialist within the state of Pennsylvania. Her work experience includes serving youth as a Behavior Specialist Consultant and Outpatient Therapist in the home, school, and community settings. She also served adults and families as the Executive Director of NAMI, The National Alliance on Mental Illness for Blair County, PA. Currently, Sara serves as the Project Manager for the Trauma-Skilled School Safety Rural Network with the Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8. This project, a collaborative effort among the IU8, The National Dropout Prevention Center, and rural PA school districts, strives to build capacity within the region as schools develop Catalyst Action Teams to implement the Trauma-Skilled Schools Model.
