The National Dropout Prevention Center/Network (NDPC/N) has spent the past 30 years providing elementary and high school teachers, principals, and administrators effective tools to fight high school dropout throughout the nation. While many students drop out due to trauma and a poor start into high school, we know that making concerted efforts toward reaching wounded students and supporting students entering their freshman year can make a difference.
One June 25-28, the NDPC/N will come together in Orlando to offer simultaneous conferences. The 2017 Reaching the Wounded Student Conference will focus on A Trauma-Informed Approach to Helping Youth Beyond At Risk while the 2017 Freshman Success Conference will look at a Strong Start–Successful Finish approach for 9th grade students.
