Tiffany Osborne
The 2015-2016 school year is Tiffany Osborne's first year as principal at Lakeside Middle School, in Anderson, SC. She previously served the community as an instructional coach for four years at Lakeside and Glenview Middle Schools and as a seventh-grade social studies teacher for seven years prior to that at McCants Middle School. Next year, she has acccepted a position at Robert Anderson Middle School, also in Anderson, SC, as associate principal where she will continue the work of partnering with families to offer the best possible education to each child. Education is truly her passion that has grown from her own childhood and experiences as a student in Anderson School District Five.
Leonard Galloway
This is Leonard Galloway's first year as principal of Robert Anderson Middle School in Anderson, SC. He was previously the principal of Lakeside Middle School and Varennes Elementary School, all three schools in Anderson School District Five. His passion for kids extends beyond the school walls into the community. He believes that enhancing the lives of the younger generation will drastically improve the lives of the older generation.
This Week's Topic
This Solutions to the Dropout Crisis program will present details related to one district’s Program Assessment and Review (PAR) by the National Dropout Prevention Center. Guests Tiffany Osborne and Leonard Galloway, both middle school principals in Anderson School District Five, Anderson, SC, will share highlights of how their schools and district prepared for team visits, how the weeklong visits went, and what their next steps were afterwards. They will share some ways that they have taken the PAR teams’ feedback and implemented strategies in their schools that have impacted real positive changes.
By the end of the program viewers will be able to answer these questions:
- What is a PAR?
- What steps should we take to prepare?
- How can a PAR or similar review benefit schools anddistricts?
