Ivonne N. Arguijo is an Elementary School Teacher.  She graduated from a school in Mexico in 1984. Ms. Arguijo worked twelve years in Mexico in the education system including four years as a teacher, four years as advisor in schools by zone and as an advisor to board commissioner.

Ms. Arguijo started working with Shelby County Schools in Memphis, TN in 2001 at a school in the Early Childhood department, then in the ESL department. Currently she is a Multicultural Specialist in the Department of Student Affairs. In partnership with the Mexican Government and Mexican Consulate in Little Rock, AR, Ms. Arguijo has created 3 “Plazas Comunitarias” for Adult Education where Spanish speaking adults can learn how to read, write and finish their elementary education or start from zero and complete up to a high school diploma. She works closely with the Hispanic community, providing support and resources for all of their academic and family needs. Ms. Arguijo is grateful and passionate in serving her community.
